Diploma in Primary Teaching

The course aims at developing the knowledge of the prospective teachers by addressing pedagogical issues and approaches in planning and teaching. The core subjects of the National Primary School Curriculum are taught at both theoretical and practical level.

Place  : Nugegoda and Kandy Teacher Training Centers
Course Duration  : One Year
Sessions  : Sunday 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m (Nugegoda & Kandy)
Entry Qualifications
  • G.C.E. (O/L) with “C” pass in English
  • G.C.E. (A/L) with two subjects for Local and London examinations or equivalent qualification
  • G.C.E.A/L Pending Results
  • Teachers in government or private schools who are already teaching in the English medium or those who wish to change over to English Medium Teaching
